Off-Season Programs & Services

The off-season is a great opportunity for teams, coaches and players to recuperate. The programs and services I offer during this time are carefully designed and tailored to support athletes, coaches and entire teams as they recover from what is an incredibly intense period — when injury, inflammation and stress levels have been high.   • The physiological and psychological benefits of a regular yoga practice for athletes are now well documented. Performance-related improvements in flexibility, strength, recovery time and cardiovascular performance are widely accepted as common outcomes; physiological factors such as reduced inflammation and soreness as well as improved immune function have also been reported broadly. All of these have been recognized to contribute to a decreased risk of injury. 

    The significant mental health benefits mindfulness meditation-based interventions with athletes are also very well documented—key benefits for athletes and teams include a significant reduction in performance-related stress and anxiety, as well as enhanced self-awareness and an increase in ability to focus.

  • Off-season retreats offer an intensive recovery period for athletes and an opportunity to heal on a much deeper level than is possible in-season.

    Ideal retreat duration is between 5-7 days.

    Workshops & Intensives are 1/2 day to 3 days in duration and are offered on-site or off-site.

  • Through consulting sessions with coaches and individual intake sessions with players, I design a comprehensive mindfulness meditation program that supports and complements existing programs. Players and teams experience quicker recovery time, reduction in pre-game stress, improvement in emotion regulation and an enhanced ability to handle game day pressure —all factors which lead to significant gains in performance and overall wellbeing.
